Chicken Cafreal (my way ;) )




Ingredients :-

Chicken                   - 1 bird  (around 1 kg in weight. Cut into medium sized pieces)
Coriander Leaves     - 1 and a 1/2 cup 
Onion                       - 1 big sized , chopped 
Ginger                       - 1 inch piece
Garlic                        - 12 flakes
Tomato paste            -1 tbsp
Vinegar                     - 2 tbsps
Jaggery                     - 2 tbsps ( grated)
Green chillies             - 7
Curry Leaves            -10
Cloves                      - 8
Cinnamon                  - 1 inch
Cardamom                 - 4 
Peppercorns               -9
Curd                          - 2 tbsps

Salt and oil as per required

Method :-

Wash Chicken pieces, pat dry  and apply a little salt and keep aside.

Heat enough oil in a non stick pan and fry onions till soft and light brown.

Blend this cooked onion together with  all the other ingredients except the Curd and grind to a very fine paste.(add very little water )

In the same pan add enough oil and once heated pour in the ground Masala. Fry this well and once cooked throw in the curd . Further cook for 10 minutes. Now add the chicken pieces , mix well and cook on slow flame , stirring  gently from time to time.Cook till it dries out and pieces are nice n brown.Sprinkle the love n serve hot with dinner rolls... Enjoy!!
